It is one of the biggest departments in the hospital and in whole Jeddah. There are 11 (eleven) clinics for out-patient consultations.
Obstetric Division:
It avails a full range of services including:
Fully automated antenatal care program
Packages for delivery that would include delivery only, antenatal care and delivery, antenatal care, delivery and post natal care.
Routine and specialized obstetrical consultations
Obstetrical assessment tools as Doppler, CTG, ultrasound, pelvimetry using conventional XR or computed tomography
Aminocentesis for early detection of malformations and cromosomal abnomalitites.
Delivery Unit:
Has well equipped comfortable seven delivery rooms
Has also a dedicated theatre inside the unit for Caeserean sections and any needed surgical intervention
Has full facilities for analgesia or anaesthesis that can ensure pain free delivery
Has the nursery and neonatal unit and ICU just next to it.
Educational courses are conducted to encourage breast feeding as a part of our Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI)
This division can offer:
Diagnosis and treatment of routine and specialized gynaecologic diseases
Sort out infertility cases.
Early detection of female genital cancer through regular examinations, PAP smear, colposcopic examination of the cervix of the uterus, pelvic ultrasound and mammogram
The department in coordination with the Oncology and Health Care Education Departments conduct free sessions for the public on issues like self examination of the breast, cancer risk factors ……etc.
It offers free consultation and mammograms as a part of the community service offerd by the department.
Operative Gynecology:
We also perrform all gynecological operations including the following:
Minor and major operations on vulva, vagina and cervix
Laparoscopic, diagnostic and operative procedures up to hysterectomy
Conservative abdominal operations (e.g.) myomectomy, oophorectomy etc.
Total abdominal and vaginal operations (e.g.) total hysterectomy
Radical operations for female genital tract cancer.
